Well… This is me! I’m not a huge fan of writing, let alone about myself, so I will keep it brief! Just KIR!!!
So… I am a wife. a mother. a photographer. a dreamer. a world traveler wanna be, or shall I say soon to be :) (by soon, I mean someday!)
I have lots of loves! To name a few… my hubby & kids, my Kyla, ice cream, anything tropical, warmth, & flip flops!
My History
My love for photography started at a very young age. My Mom was always taking pictures, developing film, and creating photo albums. I absolutely loved and still love looking at those albums. Then it happened, my Mom gave me my first camera. It was a yellow advantix camera (does anyone remember those!?) and I went snap happy. My passion for photography began at the birth of my first child. Being able to capture his every moment. The little grin, a burst of laughter, or a far off gaze… truth.
I currently run two photography businesses. Of course, Tickled Pink Photo, as well as Of My Affection. What is so great about having two complete different websites, and businesses is that I am able to pursue two of the many styles I love. Of My Affection is primarily weddings. It’s a soft, vintage feel of people in love. One thing about me is I love everything, every motif, so many different styles. So with my Tickled Pink I am able to capture my fun, brighter side, then with the lovely couples I get to work with I get to capture that soft pure happiness! I love it! And am so lucky to be able to do both!
My Style
Simple. Candid. I strive to capture who you are, not just what you look like. My favorite are the ones I capture when you’re not looking. When a Mom is hugging her child, or a Dad throwing his son in the air trying to cheer him up! (because we all know how fun family pictures can be ;)) I want the shoots to be fun!
I am a 100% natural light photographer. And I love it. Whether it be from a window, on a porch in the shade… My true passion lies within children. I have 4 amazing children that inspire me everyday. Maybe that’s why!
Many of my shots tend to be very close up! I am addicted to eyes! It’s the first thing I notice on people, and I think they can say a lot about a person.
